The Humane League of Lancaster County - New Identity
It’s finally here!—the new identity for the good people at the Humane League of Lancaster County. Invictus has been a part of this project for quite some time and we were thrilled with its launch on November 1st.
With regards to logo/identity design, we believe in creating pieces that move. We work to create identities that represent our clients’ mission and vision visually.
What we wrote to present this idea to the Humane League says it best:
“The proposed identity is designed to solve multiple problems and address the growing need of the Humane League of Lancaster County. It is flexible, timeless, and most of all alive! It utilizes a color palette established by the launch of the new website and typography that has been made standard over the last five years in your printed materials. Perhaps what we find most interesting about this proposed identity is how it relates to the animals themselves. It is playful yet stoic. It begs to be played with but is perfectly content being quietly curled up in the corner, and most importantly, it is as unique and varied as the animals and the people who love them.”
Humane League of Lancaster County - Summer Adoption Campaign

This summer, the Humane League of Lancaster County initiated an adoption campaign that focused on the cat over-population problem at the shelter. Invictus was brought in as part of the solution, focusing our efforts on the creation of materials to support this campaign.
The summer months are very difficult for the Humane League regarding cats. In a nutshell, the problem is too many cats and not enough space. To remedy this, the Humane League initiated a campaign—the first of its kind—that tied in with popular summer blockbusters, namely Pirates of the Caribbean and the new Harry Potter film.
Invictus consulted, conceptualized, and created posters and flyers for their street team and also developed online components to promote this campaign.
The Humane League’s goal was to get 750 cats adopted throughout the summer months. By the end of August, they had exceeded that goal by adopting out an astonishing 992 cats!
We were honored to be a part of this tremendous success.
Rob Bull - Non-profit consulting identity
Robert Bull, Jr. specializes in consulting for non-profit organizations. We met Robert through one of our clients who he happens to consult for. Impressed with our work, Robert hired us to consult, design, and implement a variety of projects for his firm, the first of which was his identity. Robert shares a vision with his clientele that mirrors the way in which Invictus works. Our personal and professional relationship grew rapidly through this process. We respect and admire Robert for his professionalism, attention to detail, and, above all else, his care for his clients. Robert is bold, ambitious, and confident. He really invests 100% of himself into his work and we believe his identity now reflects those values.
Humane League of Lancaster County - Annual Report
Invictus was tasked with designing this past year’s annual report for the Humane League of Lancaster County. As with previous years, the Humane League wanted to create a report that maintained the emotional content of other existing communication pieces without breaking the bank from a production standpoint. We at Invictus thrive in these conditions . . . big ideas on a limited budget. The annual report was designed and produced in two colors, utilizing the outstanding photography of the Humane League’s volunteer photographer Melody McFarland. A special thanks to Melody for helping make this piece (and many others) really sing.
Canine Partners for Life - Case Brochure
Since February 2010, Invictus has been working behind the scenes for Canine Partners for Life (CPL), a great organization located in Cochranville, PA. CPL provides assistance dogs for folks with a wide range of disabilities. Their work is amazing and inspiring. Invictus was asked to design a case brochure featuring this work while educating the general public about what they do. Our only hope is that this piece works as hard as they do!
Humane League of Lancaster County - PawPrints, Fall 2011

Yet another compelling installment of the Humane League of Lancaster County’s publication of PawPrints, designed by Invictus. This issue’s main feature focuses on the extraordinary efforts of the Humane League’s volunteers and staff when preparing incoming animals for adoption. It never ceases to amaze us how focused and dedicated our clients are to their jobs. This issue of PawPrints confirms that belief.
Humane League of Lancaster County - Wags and Whiskers event invite

The Annual Wags and Whiskers event is one of the year’s largest fund raising opportunities for the Humane League of Lancaster County. This year the theme is “Ancient Egypt” and Invictus was asked to design the invite materials. It was important to make this invite unique while managing a tight budget. Recipients were treated to a poster– style invite that once the response form was filled out and detached, they got to keep for themselves.
Humane League of Lancaster County - Discharge Materials

Working with Humane League of Lancaster County, Invictus designed and developed their discharge materials. These materials included folders and forms that helped bring clarity and focus to the process of adopting an animal as well as extending the Humane League’s “image” across these important but often forgot-about materials.
Humane League of Lancaster County - PawPrints Winter Issue

Continuing our work with the Humane League of Lancaster County, Invictus was commissioned to design the winter issue of PawPrints. This issue provided the reader with updates from the year’s more popular animal stories.
Humane League of Lancaster County – Trap Neuter and Return Appeal

Working with the fine folks over at the Humane League of Lancaster County, we developed and designed their annual appeal for their Trap Neuter and Return program. This highly successful program moves away from euthanasia and focuses on the neutering or spaying of cats to help with the cat overpopulation problem.
